In this training we look at a few primary infant and toddler routines. In a subsequent training we will examine more. Establishing regularly scheduled language-rich routines is extremely important for young children. - Routines give young children a way to understand the passing of time. - Predictable routines help infants and toddlers feel safe. - Over time they will come to know what to expect based on daily routines. - Secure bonds are established between the caregiver and child when routines are performed in a caring manner.
