Description: This training is designed for Michigan childcare administrators to deliver on-site, this comprehensive, program prepares all staff for emergency response. The modular curriculum covers fire, flood, tornado, extreme weather, and other man-made and natural disasters, as well as serious accidents or injury, lockdowns including active shooters and intruders in the building, and utility failures. It defines specific roles for Program Administrators, Lead, and Assistant Teachers. Special focus is given to infant/toddler evacuation compliance (R400.8269(2)), child care plans for children with food and allergic reactions (R 400.8269a), family reunification protocols, and continuity of operations plans. Delivered twice annually, it will ensure team readiness, fulfill professional development clock hours, and log completion directly into MiRegistry.
